Regional Family Justice Center Conference
Oct. 26th from 8am - 4:30p
This conference is free, but registration is required.

The Chattanooga Family Justice Center is hosting the first regional FJC conference. This one-day conference will be held at the Chattanooga FJC located at 5705 Uptain Road in Chattanooga and is designed for professionals, faith leaders, and community residents. The conference will include the following topics and breakout sessions:

Annual Memorial Garden event at the Oneida City Park Honoring and Remembering those lost to Domestic Violence. Wednesday, October 11,2017 will be the dedication of the "TREE OF REMEMBRANCE", our county's first metal sculpture. This amazing piece of art has been crafted and donated by Carl and Sherry Shafer. Engraved "REMEMBRANCE PAVERS" will be donated to the surviving families in Remembering and Honoring their loved ones. This is a collaborative effort with Campbell County CHET and the Scott County Family Justice Center.

Why Don't They Just Leave? An Intensive Domestic Violence Simulation Experience
YWCA, Bristol, TN

Cost of event $25.00

Through this simulation, 75 participants will be provided with a unique opportunity to experience firsthand what life is like for a victim of domestic violence. Each participant will assume a new identity and have the opportunity to access community resources in an attempt to flee an abusive relationship. Our hope is that this simulation will increase awareness of the struggles victims of domestic violence face, illustrate that domestic violence is a community problem, show that we all have a responsibility in ending domestic violence, and encourage everyone to think creatively and act intentionally to assist victims of domestic violence. This activity is intended for adult audiences only. Register here.

Please come out and join Prevent Child Abuse Tennessee and the South Central Council on Children and Youth. The two organizations will be presenting the Domestic Assault Simulation Training. This will be an in depth look into domestic violence. The simulation will be 13

 stations, showing how victims navigate through the complex justice and social services system. The training will start at 9:30 a.m. and end at 11:00 a.m. Plea
